
Afua Asantewaa sing-a-thon Guinness World Record: Afua Owusu Asantewaa Aduonum, better known as Afua Asantewaa, the Ghanaian media personality, journalist, and entrepreneur, who attempted to break the Guinness World Record for the longest individual singing marathon, said she is yet to submit a bid for official recognition.
According to her, the jury and technical team have finalized their work and will soon submit it for verification to Guinness World Records before the official announcement of her record attempt.
Afua Asantewaa gave this explanation when she joined devotees of the City of Potters led by Prophet Nanasei Opoku-Sarkodie in Prampram on New Year’s Eve.

Afua Asantewaa Aduonum was born on May 11, 1990. Asantewaa began her career as a journalist and worked for several Ghanaian media companies.
She is the CEO of Askof Productions Ltd, organizer of the Ghana Oustanding Women Awards, Pose for Africa Model Reality Show and Miss Kidi Ghana. Asantewaa is married to sports journalist Kofi Aduonum. They have three children.
In December 2023, Asantewaa announced that she would attempt to break the record for longest individual singing marathon. She started singing on December 24, 2023, in Akwaaba village, located in Accra, Ghana. She broke the record on December 28, 2023.
On December 29, 2023, Asantewaa ended her attempt after singing for 126 hours and 52 minutes. Afua Asantewaa sing-a-thon Guinness World Record is yet to be verified.
In addition the entrepreneur, during the sing-a-thon, just performed a succession of Ghanaian songs at Akwaaba village. Several Ghanaians, including famous musicians and politicians, stopped by to support her. She is currently appointed as a tourism ambassador.
