His Political Ambition

Nana Kwame Bediako declared his intention to run as candidate for the New Force movement on January 7, 2024. This came after weeks of conjecture, in which the New Force hinted that it would field a “masked” candidate, whom some Ghanaians guessed to be Bediako. The announcement, which was scheduled to happen in Black Star Square, was rescheduled after the rally’s permission was revoked by the presidential administration due to “an unforeseen state event.”

The convention which was organized by the New Africa foundation had speakers like Professor P. L. O. Lumumba, Julius Malema, Dr. Arikana Chihombori-Quao, and Peter Obi– and thousands of patrons had filled the Independence Square for the event. Cheddar expressed disappointment with the development of events, but said the New Force movement had grown stronger in Ghana.

He claims that if he were elected president of Ghana, he would “liberate Africa,” start thousands of new businesses, and turn Ghana into a middle-income nation
